Not all AI content is equal. A well-structured prompt produces a landing page that ranks and converts. A generic prompt produces a forgettable page that does neither. Here's what the difference looks like in practice.

The anatomy of a high-converting SEO landing page

A landing page that both ranks well and converts visitors needs to satisfy two very different audiences: search engines and humans. The good news is that the fundamentals of good UX copy align remarkably well with what search engines reward.

1. The headline

Your headline needs to match the searcher's intent precisely. If someone types "schouderklachten behandeling" (shoulder complaint treatment) into Google and lands on a page that opens with a generic "We help you feel better" — they'll bounce immediately.

Smoothfunnels instructs Claude to open with a direct, keyword-aware headline that names the problem and promises a specific outcome. Example: "Schouderklachten? Ontvang binnen 3 weken pijnvermindering".

2. The problem-agitate-solve structure

This classic copywriting framework works because it mirrors how people think about their problems. AI is particularly good at this structure when given specific persona information — which Smoothfunnels always provides via the target audience field.

3. FAQ for long-tail keywords

FAQ sections serve dual purposes: they answer common objections (converting visitors) and naturally include long-tail keyword phrases (satisfying search engines). Claude generates 5–7 FAQs per landing page based on the niche and target audience.

4. Trust signals

Social proof, certifications, and statistics reduce friction for new visitors. Smoothfunnels generates placeholder trust signals based on the niche — your team replaces placeholders with real data before publishing.

What Claude does better than most human writers

Speed aside, Claude has read more marketing copy than any human copywriter alive. It understands keyword density without being told, naturally writes at the right reading level for a given audience, and never gets writer's block on page 47 of a batch.

Where human review still matters

AI generates based on patterns. It can hallucinate statistics, miss brand-specific nuances, or produce copy that's technically correct but tonally off for a particular client. The best workflow treats AI output as a high-quality first draft — not a final product.

With Smoothfunnels' auto-approve disabled (the default), every page gets a human review step before going live. Enable auto-approve only for clients where you've validated the output quality over multiple batches.

The SEO verdict

AI-generated landing pages rank. We've seen pages generated by Smoothfunnels rank on page 1 within 60–90 days for competitive Dutch health and finance keywords. The key is specificity — which is exactly what Smoothfunnels is designed to maximise.
